Dodos: Pression FC Reformed and Ready for MKS Melbourne Shield

After not competing in the Champions Cup 2010, this is Pression FC's return to the MKS Melbourne tournaments.  Their last participation was in the Mauritian Futsal Cup 2010, in which they placed 7th with 9 points.  It seems that the team is shedding its former name, Pression FC, and is being reformed under the name Dodos.

The reform was initiated with the signing of the influential ex-Replacements player, Nicholas Sin, who is now captaining the team.  The team line up is as follows:
  • Nicholas Sin (captain)
  • Jerome Cloridor (vice-captain)
  • Oliver Lam
  • Marc Chung
  • David Chung
  • Gerald Cheng
  • Jason Leung
  • Simon
Other new signings include Jason Leung and Simon.  Other movements include former captain Hughes Wong leaving to form and captain Fesse Plate United, who are also participating in the MKS Melbourne Shield.

Nicholas Sin, Oliver Lam, and Jerome Cloridor are experienced players and have gelled well player together since their high school days at St Joseph's College.  There are also deeper bonds between team members.  Gerald Cheng, Oliver Lam, Jerome Cloridor, David Chung and Jason Leung all attended to the same university while Nicholas Sin, Oliver Lam, and Marc Chung have know each other since primary school.  Simon, who captains Clowns FC in the Albert Park league, is a newcomer to futsal, but with team mates such as these, he'll have all the required experience at his disposal.

Dodos captain, Nicholas Sin believes the team has a lot of potential, enough potential to even win the tournament.  Their first competitive performance was in the RMIT Soccer Challenge 2011, in which they were runners-up in the qualifying stages.  In their group, they faced Wolves FC, and were defeated only by The Replacements.  With The Replacements unavailable for the MKS Melbourne Shield, the Dodos could be the first MKS Melbourne Shield Champions.
